Cape Cod big winner in home values since pandemic
Cambridge, Brookline, Somerville and Boston slowest growth
Cape Cod has seen the largest increase in relative home values since the beginning of the pandemic - Falmouth up 73% - while percentage gains in the immediate Boston area appreciated at slower rates, highlighting a trend away from cities amidst the work from home era, according to the Jack Gately Real Estate Home Price Tracker.
Cambridge values appreciated only 13.16% over the same time period, the lowest rate of growth statewide.
Upper Worcester county and parts of Berkshire county also benefitted from the shift away from cities, but Cape Cod was the clear winner.
A pocket of metro-west towns also did very well, including: Weston, Wayland, Concord, Sudbury and Lincoln.
