John Sears, the new President of the embattled National Association of Realtors will speak at Anthony Lamacchia’s upcoming “Crush-It in Real Estate” event on Thursday February 1st in Boston.
Sears took over as NAR president earlier this month after Tracy Kasper resigned. Kasper, an Idaho based real estate broker, said she was a blackmail victim and while she reported the incident to authorities she still resigned for the better of the organization. Kenny Parcell resigned as NAR President last summer after being the subject of a New York Times expose of alleged sexual harassment at NAR.
Sears, a Springfield Massachusetts based broker, previously served as Chairman of the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons.
Sears said in statement on the event’s website: “I am excited to participate in the 2024 Crush It in Real Estate event! The reputation of these Crush It events is that they prepare today’s real estate agents, whether new or experienced, with the tools and trends to make them successful in the year ahead. It truly gives them an advantage over their competition. Finally, I look forward to chatting with Anthony on stage, answering the questions that many Realtors® currently have.”
